On March 6th, 2009, the Nanubhai Education Foundation held a fundraiser at the Scholastic headquarters in New York City. Renowned actor Kal Penn (of the TV series House and the film, The Namesake) served as the honored guest for a festive night of entertainment and celebration of Nanubhai’s fifth anniversary. Other honored guests include US Olympic Bronze Medalist Raj Bhavsar, Miss India USA 2007 Melanie Kannokada, and Gurbaksh Chahal, successful entrepreneur, author, and star of Fox Television’s Secret Millionaire.
