White people have culture, especially American whites. Though it is often belittled by others who wrongfully claim all that is part of our culture has been stolen from someone else. The only difference between soul food and southern food is the color of the chef, for example. Research the recipes.

Research the history of bluegrass, country, pop, etc. Even research the controversial rock genre, you will find more white influence than black. Stevie Wonder said he was inspired by many old white bluegrass men, yet no one claims he stole anything from white culture. So why people claim rock solely exists because of black people is beyond me.

Learn about daily life and customs in the mountains, in the hollers, in the backwoods. Learn about modern day cowboys and self-sufficient country families.

It’s seems as if society has taught Whites to be ashamed of their history or others have accused Whites of stealing much of American history alone opposed to European History.

Jade: You say influence is not the same as making history. Elvis didn’t start Rock n Roll, I mention Stevie Wonder’s influence because again, it’s not notable to acknowledge Whites for any history that isn’t negative. You need to learn to stick with a topic, even if you don’t care for it. Elvis had nothing to do with my question. If you like to debate stick to the general topic not make a long sentence not adding much legitimate source. That’s what you Cocoa Butter and Dwayne did.

Even though the Eurovison “song” contest is now irrelevant, and nothing but an opportunity for Eastern european countries to put a finger up to the uk, the last laugh is on us, as we see it for the charade that it is, and we see the total unashamed bias that it has become.
Its was all love and light in Belgrade last night, behind gritted teeth.
Ireland entering a “Turkey” both literally and metaphorically was a class move!
Uk should now do the same remembering that we gave them every melody and every lyrical structure of every song that was sung last night. I didnt hear one song that was a reflection of the country from whence it came..it was all western pop. So thankyou Eurovison for the tip of the hat to our superior contribution to popular music and culture.

Ok i believe that language has been the main factor of many Greek Artists of not being International Super Stars even though they were totally charismatic and talented!
I mean Music and Movies are not like Sports or Sciences or Poetry that Greeks have succeed so many things in Worldwide competitions and many have become legendary……………Movies and music ,T.V. as well are 95% English spoken worldwide ( i mean not even SUPER GREAT French or Italian or German actors or musicians have not become Worldwide Icons cause of their language)!

So my question is simple
Considering that world super stars like Jennifer Anniston,Criss Angel,George Michael,Maria Callas,Kojac Tely Savallas and tons of others who were/are Greek were born in a big Country (english spoken) as USA or UK ,which Native Greeks you consider could have been Giga-Stars if they were born in the right country?( i need a top 5)
(Athletes who have been world or European or Olympic champions,Scientists,Poets,Ancient Greeks who ruled the world etc etc do not count for the simple reason that they are International icons already)

1) Stelios Kazantzidis,British Phonographic Industry named him 2nd greatest male voice of the 20th century After Luciano Pavarotti,imagine if he was singing in English!

2) Nikos Kourkoulos,easily he could have been sex icon of Hollywood in 60′s!

3) Paulos Sidiropoulos,i really think that he is same size with Rock legends as Morisson and Jagger!

4) Sakis Rouvas,i mean if some peeps like Ricky Martin,Jonas Brothers and rest of their kind became Pop Stars,Sakis could have done it too and probably better!

5)Karyofylia karabeti (personal favorite) what a waste that she has not win an Oscar only because she does not play in English-Spoken films!
